Forgotten Kitchen

Forgotten Kitchen, 24"x24" oils on linen. I knew that someday I'd get around to painting a copper version of my Kitchen Chaos Series. Calling this Forgotten Kitchen, since no one actually cooks with these gorgeous patina'd vessels anymore. I have painted them individually in the past but I got to know them on a deeper level in these odd positions. No matter how much copper tarnishes it is still beautiful. I like these tarnished pieces far better than anything shiny and new.

Juried into the National Oil and Acrylic Painters Society Spring Online Exhibition 2024.
