Cleaning the Garage

These old tools - if they could talk. Some were my father's, some were his father's. And some of the rusty bits are from the old barn in Michigan. So many things here held by hard working men. The grey backdrop is like the concrete floor of the garage. It makes me happy to hold something in my own hand they once held in theirs. And you know what it is like when you clean the garage - you find all sorts of odds and ends.

Cleaning the Garage has been juried into the  Placerville Arts Association 58th National Mother Lode Exhibition! Many thanks to the judge D. Oldam Neath and to all of the people who make these events happen. The Artist's Reception will be held at the #millsstationartsandculturalcenter in Rancho Cordova November 8th. The exhibition will run from November 7th through November 23rd. Looking forward to viewing the entire show!

Thank you Bold Brush Contest: Cleaning the Garage, was selected as part of the FAV15% in the July 2024 BoldBrush Painting competition! My thanks to the Judge Romona Youngquist.
