I needed to slow down, which gave me the opportunity to study these intricate forms. I must admit I found the shadows to be most intriguing. These old faucet handles have been tucked away in a bag for several years. I know, not everyone has a bag of old faucet handles, but they remain from my mixed media/assemblage days. And, yes, I found several other items on the same shelf which I may explore another time.

Each panel I painted delighted me as they came to life while adding the details that gave them depth. I think it even gave them a little respect.

Isn't it surprising how something so very vintage can have such modern appeal?
