We have a cabin on Donner Lake in Truckee, California. The most relaxing place on earth to us. Just being on the water is soothing. We kayak and hike and occasionally get out the paddle boards. Even just sitting on the dock has its benefits. The cabin has been under construction for quite some time. We took down the old family barn and had it shipped to this coast from Michigan so that we could use all of the 150+ year old timber, saving the family history from the Centennial Farm. We can now look up at the ceiling and see the old beams keeping the memories alive.

I've started a small series of landscapes in and around Donner Lake and I'm enjoying these small works very much. They are all "tiny but mighty" at 6"x8".  I will be adding more as time permits.
