"There is gold in those hills" was a common phrase in California during the Gold Rush. "Those golden hills of California" is a common phrase during the dry season when the hills gleam of golden grasses waiting for the Spring rains. But I can see gold in the hills when the daffodils bloom, spreading cheerful yellow across the miles.
